SANDUSKY, OH – Mad River Music Features Plank Road | Podcast

May 17, 2010

This past weekend, local rock and blues band Plank Road, played live at Water Street Bar & Grille in downtown Sandusky. With originals inspired by the sounds of  legends, Plank Road rocked the night as music lovers danced and sang along in appreciation of the solid performance. According to the band’s website, they are deeply rooted in the foundations of blues and rock, with an eclectic and complex talent that compliments the historical context of past music scenes in Northern Ohio and the Great Lakes region. Incorporating the passionate, soulful vocals and intense guitar riffs of Scott Stiert; Andy Bauman’s funk-inspired, dance worthy bass lines; and percussionist Mike Gildenmeister’s intricate rhythms and daring fills, the members of Plank Road have come together to create an inventive and original sound. Listen to Mad River Music’s recording and find no doubt that Plank Road is one of the most talented and polished acts of the area.

Plank Road Rocks!!! I have heard them play, and they truly are one of the best bands in the land for “blues and rock.” They have a style all their own, and one which music lovers crave. Congratulations to all the members of Plank Road upon becoming such a popular band in our region. Keep it coming….for years to come!
